Fun With Fabric - April/May 2026

Service Description

These sessions are aimed at the young person who has shown an interest in sewing or would like to expand and improve their skills. This is a student led class, where each person undertakes their chosen project and I provide guidance when needed. It is great fun to teach and see young people tap into their creative side. Absolute beginners will start by making a simple tote bag and then choose their next projects, learning new skills as they create. Materials provided for tote bag and small projects. The practical bits: What you need to bring: All of the equipment and materials are provided for this course, but feel free to bring your own fabrics if you would prefer. Drinks are available at the studio. Food is not provided, so please bring any snacks or meals you require. Stockport Centre is less than 10 minute walk away, and there are pubs and restaurants in the immediate area. Getting here: Kingston House is well located both for public transport and driving. It is a 5 minute drive from junction 1 of the M60 and there is a car park at the studios. It is less than a 10 minute walk from both Stockport train and bus stations. The studio is on the first floor of the building and the toilet is on the ground floor. I can assist with carrying bags/machines, but please note that there is no lift.
