Service Description

These friendly sessions are aimed at the young person who has shown an interest in sewing or would like to expand and improve their skills with like minded peers. This is a student led class, where each person chooses their own projects to encourage their creativity. Absolute beginners will start by making a simple tote bag and then choose their next project, learning new skills as they create. I have a range of projects and fabrics to choose from, or they can bring their own designs/projects to work on. Materials are provided for the tote bag and small projects, but you may be required to provide fabric and notions for larger projects, such as garment making. The practical bits What you need to bring: All equipment and materials are provided for the initial project, but feel free to bring your own fabrics if you would prefer. If you move on to larger projects, such as garments, you may need to bring your own pattern, fabric and notions. you will be advised in advance if this is the case. Drinks are available at the studio. Getting here: Kingston House is well located for both public transport and driving. It is a 5 minute drive from junction 1 of the M60 and there is a car park at the studios. It is less than a 10 minute walk from both Stockport train and bus stations. Accessibility: The studio is on the first floor of the building and the toilet is on the ground floor. I can assist with carrying bags/machines, but please note that there is no lift.
