Learn to Sew - in a day!

Service Description

Aimed at beginners and improvers, this comprehensive, one day workshop can teach you basic hand and machine sewing, or improve your basic skills and confidence. You will initially learn to thread and use a sewing machine while making a lined tote bag with zipped internal pocket. You will then move on to your choice of other starter projects, each designed to expand your skills. All materials and sewing machines are provided, but feel free to bring your own fabrics if you have something particular in mind. You will leave with new skills, confidence and at least two handmade projects that you will be proud of! The practical bits: All equipment and materials are provided for this course, but feel free to bring your own fabrics if you would prefer. Drinks are available at the studio. Food is not provided, so please bring any snacks or meals you require. Stockport Centre is less than 10 minute walk away, and there are pubs and restaurants in the immediate area. Getting here: Kingston House is well located both for public transport and driving. It is a 5 minute drive from junction 1 of the M60 and there is a car park at the studios. It is less than a 10 minute walk from both Stockport train and bus stations. The studio is on the first floor of the building and the toilet is on the ground floor.
