Love Your Overlocker!

Service Description

This course is for those who want to get the most out of their overlocker. Learn to thread with confidence, increase your understanding of the overlocker's functions, play with the settings on different fabrics, and learn about cleaning and basic maintenance. Practice finishing edges neatly, even around corners and curves and learn hemming and decorative stitches. You can bring your own overlocker if it is new or PAT tested, or use one of mine if you prefer. Fabric samples and threads will be provided. The practical bits: All equipment and materials are provided for this course, but feel free to bring your own fabrics if you would prefer. Drinks are available at the studio. Food is not provided, so please bring any snacks or meals you require. Stockport Centre is less than 10 minute walk away, and there are pubs, cafes and restaurants in the immediate area. Getting here: Kingston House is well located both for public transport and driving. It is a 5 minute drive from junction 1 of the M60 and there is a car park at the studios. It is less than a 10 minute walk from both Stockport train and bus stations. The studio is on the first floor of the building and the toilet is on the ground floor. I can assist with carrying bags/machines, but please note that there is no lift. Please feel free to call me to discuss any mobility concerns.
